The Masla workshop, specialized in tailoring, is located in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. Masla is the contraction of the founders’ names, Marion and Slavisa, which means ´to tie together’ in Slovak. In 2020, after working together for 3 years, they set up a partnership to create their own workshop. Slavisa is the manufacturing foreman, and Marion is the CEO, in charge of the workshop management and business growth. From the outset, both entrepreneurs shared the same passion in clothing and their specific backgrounds and experiences widen their collaboration. Slavisa has been manufacturing clothes for 40 years using the skills that he inherited from his grandparents. At the age of 15, he left Serbia to settle in France where he started working in his father's workshop. This experience enabled him to create his own workshop and work with different Parisian craftsmen before meeting Marion. She began her career working in consulting and strategy and finally decided to study fashion design at Le Studio Berçot. Today the Masla workshop employs nearly 10 people who manufacture small and medium runs, like the De Bonne Facture’s tailored jackets and trousers.
