This alpaca and wool blend comes from a Peruvian mill that is dedicated to making sustainable yarns. The weaving tradition in Peru dates back to ancient times, and the alpaca is indigenous to the Andes mountain range. Soft and exceptionally warm, it is also strong and elastic, making it ideal for autumn and winter knits. Its rich variety of pigmentation, accounting for more than twenty-four shades, is unique among natural fibers. We use it in its natural shades, or dyed, and blended with wool for more comfort.
