Description | This extrafine merino wool knit gives a twist to the traditional crew-neck jumper with the modernity of its mock-neck collar, as well as its saddle shoulder construction. Revisited in a jersey knit, its wool is guaranteed mulesing-free i.e. free of animal cruelty practices.
Fabric | 100% Mulesing free extra fine merino wool. 2/30nm. Origin: Australia.
Trimmings | Gauge 5, piqué stitch, ribbed collar, cuffs and hem, fully fashioned.

The merino wool in this garment is mulesing-free. Mulesing is an animal cruelty practice that includes cutting the flesh around the sheep's breech in order to avoid parasites. It is widespread in the breeding of merino sheep, especially in Australia where most merino sheep are bred, and very painful. At De Bonne Facture we have a commitment to exclusively use mulesing-free merino wools. Merino sheep produce some of the finest wools, both light, soft and warm. They are used for making high quality knits and fabrics.
