Corduroy jacket from the late 70's

Worn since 2017

LOYC FALQUE, PARIS, FRANCE

Could you introduce yourself?
“My name is Loyc, I am 33 years old and I am a stylist and consultant in Paris.”

Could you introduce us to this piece? Where does it come from? How old is it?
“It's a brown corduroy jacket, it doesn't have a brand label, it only has a "Made in France" tag. I bought it not so long ago, three... four years or so. In a vintage store with a terrible name in the 11th arrondissement, where you can find some very nice pieces.”

Did it belong to someone else before you? Did you buy it for yourself? Why did you buy it?
“I would say that it dates from the late 70s. I like the fits of that era so that's why I bought it and also because I have a form of obsession with corduroy jackets.”

Do you remember the first time you wore it?
“I'm pretty sure I wore it the same day!”

What are your memories of this piece?
“I've worn it a lot, so it's hard to associate it with a memory.”

Are there any signs of wear and tear?
“Yes but very light, it's mostly the color that has worn out over the years and gives it its patina.”

Have you already repaired this piece?
“I like the idea of having your clothes repaired, it gives them a history, but it doesn't need it yet.”

When do you usually wear it? Do you remember when you last wore it?
“I wore it a few days before I gave it to you! I know it will be with me for many years to come."
