Inspiration
Our Edition 18 presents a fresh wardrobe for Spring Summer 2022, inspired by textile artist Lenore Tawney, who was one of the most influential figures in developing «fiber art». Her artistic approach to weaving, yarns and fibers resonated with our choices to handpick the best wools, linens, cottons and blends to express an elegant and relaxed spring summer wardrobe.
This edition continues to explore a blend of tailoring and homewear, aiming for comfort and serenity. Some highlights include a bathrobe coat made of a unique cotton and linen upholstery fabric, indigo washed linen from Belgium that acts as a sustainable alternative to denim, or an elegant wool & linen blend on our grandad coat.
The edition plays on French heritage : our collaboration with «Olivades» provençal printing mill continues with a vintage bandana reedition from their archive, and a ‘gardian’ Camargue cowboy print on a camp collar shirt. Utility pieces like mechanics jackets and «vareuse» sailor shirts are revisited in sophisticated fabrics like wool and linen blends or sustainable cottons.
We are also introducing an exclusive collaboration with the painter Charles Hascoët, based on a series of fruits, plants, and flower paintings inspired by the French revolutionary calendar.
