Botanicals
We are proud to introduce to you our Botanicals special edition. It is a regenerative project highlighting ancient methods of plant-based dyeing, and also aims at creating a holistic relationships between clothes and the body, linking these plants to benefits found in traditional medicine like Ayurveda.
We have worked with an artisanal dyer in India for wovens and a Matthieu Ruiz, a master dyer in France, for jerseys. Three plants were used : Indigo, Myrobolan and Pomegranate. These are mixed with soft tailoring made in our Belgian linen conventional dyes.
Indeed, the whole capsule is made out of linen, one of our preferred fabrics, being a indigenous plant to Normandy, the North of France and Flanders. It consumes small amounts of water and is a low-impact fiber, all while being a summer essential.
The botanical dyeing method is artisanal. It results in slight variations and irregular application of color, giving each piece a unique, one-of-a-kind look with special vibrancy that will age beautifully with time.
The myrobolan is a plant widely used in Ayurvedic medicine due to its numerous medicinal properties. It especially helps strengthen vision and the immune system.
In Ayurvedic medicine, indigo is recognized for its anti-inflammatory and soothing properties.
Pomegranate is considered to reinforce intellect and the physical strength of the body.
This special Edition is available on our eshop, at our Parisian shop 63 rue Sedaine, and at select retailers worldwide like Mr Porter, Nordstrom and Barbershop in Korea.
