Our Edition 23 draws inspiration from the academic style of scientists, planetologists and climatologists who have tirelessly been fighting for the future of our ecosystem. It especially builds upon the style of scientist Carl Sagan (1936-96) in different settings - as a professor, explorer and lab scientist.
Fabrics revisit old school classics, revised with modern fits. Harris Tweeds, British corduroys, and shaggy « sheep » knits come in oversized pattern-making. New handfeels are introduced like mohair & wool, hemp & cotton or cotton & yak blends. We also developed sophisticated merino wool jersey T-shirts, almost thermal in their design. A selection of utility-inspired pieces are refined by boiled wool fabrications, complementing the wardrobe.
A collaboration with our friend Nicolas Worms, who is a contemporary composer of classical music, gives life to a T-shirt and a cap with some of his handwritten music notes.
