Soft Bouclé Wool
October 25th, 2023
This soft bouclé wool yarn was created in collaboration with our spinning mill in Biella, in the Italian Piedmont region. Considered to be an institution in the local textile industry, this workshop has been perpetuating its traditional expertise for over 140 years. It was by playing on the irregularity of the wool yarns that this fabric was created, its twisted texture giving it both a fluffy feel and an almost vibrant appearance.
The wool industry in Northern Italy can be traced back to the early 13th century. That can explain why thee Maglificio di Traversi workshop in Castel San Giovanni, 140 kilometres from Biella, is responsible for assembling our pieces. For this 21st edition, we're using this material in a range of colours and cuts: crew necks, mock necks and zipped knits.
The farms from which we source this Merino sheep's wool, renowned for its lightweight properties and durability, are certified Mulesing-free.
